Blogger Splogs Deleted? Hardly.

There was some rumor flying around this week that Blogger had been successful at deleting all SPLOGS. Worried, I rushed to check my Splogs and found them happily cranking away traffic. 
I’ve since confirmed with some spammer friends that they too have not seen any splogs deleted.

Why use blogger for splogs. You should look into syndicated blogs (hint: think a mixture of 10+ domains with wildcard subdomains and a central server using cURL to launch pings…)

Russ - its pretty dangerous putting all your eggs in one basket + even 10 or 50 domains is a low number by web standards. Pretty easy for SEs to find and ban them all.
Also using just one IP for all your pings is risky.
Blogger is definitely not perfect on so many levels, however it is easy to mingle in with the masses.

Actually, by using wildcard subdomains, you can syndicate across thousands of subdomains on each blog (in our case, currently 21000). Launching a new domain with the system takes only an hour or so, adding an additional thousand or so… Using a handful of separate class cs and multiple ips on each, you can run the whole program on the same server while avoiding detection or banning. System works great, let me know if you want to see it in action.

I would like to see your stuff in action. Beware though: At the Pubcon in Vegas last week Matt Cutts said that dynamically generated subdomain sites wouldn’t be working well in Google in the near future. I wonder if this is what happened to Chris Pirillo’s Gada.be?
